Aroha is the te reo Māori word for love, affection and compassion - and these handmade hearts are made to say what's in your heart.
Choose Aroha or Love, with a Tui or Piwakawaka, or make it personal with your own name.
They make a lovely gift for someone you love, a special keepsake for a new home, or a little piece of art for your own wall - something they’ll see every day and think of you.
Each heart is individually hand formed and hand painted by me in my studio in Aotearoa. The slightly rounded, convex shape gives them a lovely presence on the wall, while the painted bird, lettering and small details make each one completely individual.
Make it personal
For something especially personal, choose Personalised Tui or Personalised Piwakawaka and I'll replace the word Aroha or Love with the name of your choice.
It could be your own name, the name of someone you love, a child's name, a family name or simply a name that means something to you.
Because each heart is made and painted by hand, your personalised piece will be an original made especially for you and because they are handmade to order do please allow an extra 2-3 weeks for completion.

A little more about your heart
- Each heart is handmade and hand painted by me in Aotearoa.
- No two hearts are exactly alike, so there will be small variations in the painting and details from the photographs shown.
- The hearts are slightly convex and beautifully rounded rather than flat.
- They hang easily on the wall with a small nail or hook.
- Approx. 15cm × 13cm.
- Each heart is a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade art.
