When I was little I was scared of moths..

Now I love them, mysterious feathery moonlight creatures they're always welcome in my home.

These moths are also from nature, made from clay with a matte rather than glossy finish. Each one is a little piece of handmade art - a beautiful surprise for the small corners of your home.

Made and painted by hand by me in my studio in Aotearoa. Each one has its own shape, markings and feather antenna - no two are exactly alike.

They are small pieces of art for your home - from nature, , and something unexpected for your wall, small but always attracting attention!

Made by me

Every moth starts as a piece of clay in my studio. I form, fire, paint and etch each one by hand before it makes its way to you.

Because they're handmade, there will be small differences in shape, colour and painted detail from the photographs. That's part of what makes each one an original Amber Smith piece.
