Ceramic Bird Wall Art

These ceramic Tūī and Pīwakawaka are individually handmade and hand painted by me in my studio in Aotearoa. Each bird has its own shape and character, with the artwork painted and etched directly onto the clay.

The birds have a softly curved form rather than sitting completely flat against the wall, giving them more of a sense of life and of flying across the wall.

The matte black and white finish gives them a simple, graphic quality that works beautifully on their own or displayed together.

Choose your bird

Choose either a Tūī or Pīwakawaka from the options above.

Both are designed as individual pieces of ceramic wall art, ready to hang and enjoy.

Made by me

Every bird is made by hand, from shaping the clay through to painting and finishing. I don't use moulds or mass-produced transfers, so each one is an original piece.

There will be small variations in shape, surface and painted detail from the photographs. That's part of the character of handmade ceramics — your bird will be uniquely yours.

Blessing Bowl Care Instructions

The golden glaze inside each bowl is actual metal! The glaze used is rich in copper and manganese (and some other secret ingredients) - this means that it is not food safe. I'm sure that you would not use this bowl for your cereal but it has to be said :)

The blessing bowls are deliberately matte on the outside. Long term use of water in your bowl will stain it, especially if there is plant material decaying in the water.
