We are all in this Together

The waka travels through the sea of life, watched over and blessed by the ancestor spirits above (in the form of Tūi) - This print is about belonging and togetherness and whanau. Its about being there for each other and being united in purpose. The waves, hills, and tui wings, decorated with kowhaiwhai patterns, show how everything is connected - each part supporting the others, each person part of the bigger picture - That we all have a place, and that we all matter.

 The literal translation of this whakatauki is 'A waka we are all in with no exception'.
